Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the MoonGraph website and, if you create one, your MoonGraph account. They are between you and UkieLab LLC. They do not cover the purchase of the MoonGraph device, which has its own terms of sale.

By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

1. The service

MoonGraph displays astronomical information — lunar phase and illumination, sun and moon rise and set times, the next full moon, and major meteor showers — for a location you choose or allow your browser to provide. It is free to use.

2. Accuracy, and what not to rely on this for

The astronomy is computed from established algorithms (a truncated Meeus series) and is checked against the reference implementation pyephem. Rise and set times are typically accurate to within a couple of minutes. Temperature and elevation come from a third-party service and are provided as-is.

This is an informational service. Do not rely on it for navigation, aviation, maritime use, emergency planning, or any other purpose where an error could cause harm or loss. Meteor shower rates in particular are typical peak figures under ideal dark skies; what you actually see depends on weather, light pollution, moonlight and luck.

3. Your account

An account requires only an email address and a password. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@ukielab.com if you believe it has been compromised.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and old enough under your local law to agree to these terms.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other users’ accounts, or our infrastructure;
• scrape, crawl or make automated requests at a volume that degrades the service for others;
• use the service to distribute malware, spam, or unlawful content;
• circumvent any rate limit or access control, or misrepresent your identity to obtain access.

5. Email

We send you service email — confirmation and password reset — as a necessary part of running an account. Marketing email is separate, optional, and only sent if you tick the box. You can withdraw that consent at any time in Settings or via the unsubscribe link in any such email.

6. Intellectual property

The MoonGraph name, the site design, and its content belong to UkieLab LLC, except where stated otherwise. The lunar surface imagery derives from NASA photography, which is in the public domain. The typefaces (Share Tech Mono and Saira Condensed) are used under the SIL Open Font License.

You may take screenshots and share them. You may not copy the site wholesale or present it as your own.

7. Availability

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it. Where we discontinue accounts entirely, we will give reasonable notice by email.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UkieLab LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue or data, arising from your use of the site.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date above will change, and material changes affecting account holders will be emailed. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of New Jersey, United States, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of any mandatory rules of the country where you live.
