Some people plan by the moon — when to sow, when to fish, which nights will be dark enough to see anything. Others simply like knowing. Either way it usually means reaching for a phone.
This is a 10.2-inch e-ink clock that keeps tonight’s real lunar disc on the wall, shaded for your latitude, with rise and set times for your own sky and the meteor showers worth going outside for. You stop looking it up and start noticing it.
No app. No account. No subscription. It emits no light of its own, so it belongs in a bedroom, and it keeps its image when the power is off.

What makes it different
If you already follow the moon
Sowing and pruning by phase, fishing the tides, knowing which nights will be dark enough to see anything — when the lunar cycle already shapes your week, it stops being something you look up and becomes something you glance at.

Meteor showers, supermoons, the harvest moon, the nights the moon rises before sunset. If space is the thing you fall down a rabbit hole about, this is the version of it that lives on your wall rather than in a browser tab.
The moon as it actually looks
A NASA near-side photograph, shaded every refresh with the real terminator for your location and hemisphere. Not an icon of a crescent — the moon that is outside your window right now.
Your sky, not a nearby city's
Sun and moon rise and set computed on the device from your own coordinates, verified against pyephem to within two minutes. Nothing to configure each week, and no cloud service that can go dark on you.
Told before you miss it
The nine major annual showers, with a plain note on what to expect — including when a bright moon will wash the faint ones out. That last part is what saves you standing in a field at 2am for nothing.
Quiet enough for a bedroom
E-ink emits no light of its own. It does not glow at you in the dark, it does not flicker at the edge of your vision, and it keeps its image with the power off.

Setup is a Wi-Fi captive portal. No account, no app, no subscription, no telemetry. Three independent factory-reset paths, because hardware you cannot recover is hardware you cannot trust.
